Quantitative thinking, technical leadership and production engineering
My background is in physics and institutional financial modelling. Over more than 20 years, I worked as a quantitative analyst, quantitative developer and analytics lead within global investment banks, developing models, analytical frameworks and production systems used by trading, risk and finance teams.
In those environments, clarity is not optional. Poor data, unclear ownership and optimistic assumptions surface quickly and expensively. Systems must perform under pressure, explain their results and withstand scrutiny.
That work combined quantitative modelling with technical leadership, systems architecture and hands-on engineering in Python and C++. It also meant working across the full path from problem definition and technical direction to integration, production delivery and ongoing improvement.
I now lead Signal Boost, bringing the same combination of senior judgement and direct delivery to founders and technical leaders in technology-led and technology-enabled businesses.
